Nutrition Services
My nutrition philosophy is aligned with Health At Every Size and my practice follows an intuitive eating approach to nutrition counseling. This means that while I don’t provide weight loss services, we can always discuss your weight concerns and work towards body neutrality. We will primarily focus on nutrition support and education, but also concentrate on other behaviors that impact your health including joyful movement, stress reduction, sleep quality, eating environment and more.

My practice specializes in
Disordered eating- chronic dieting, excessive food tracking, compulsive exercise, orthorexia, limited food variety, and nutrition issues related to other mental illness, etc.
Nutrition related health conditions- cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal health, etc.
General health and wellness concerns- providing support and guidance as you work towards a more positive relationship with food and your body.
Feeding your family- picky or selective eating, stressful meal time, food environment, busy lifestyles, etc.
Healthy eats and cooking tips- meal planning assistance and cooking advice for those wishing to prepare more meals at home.

I am not in-network with other insurance plans in Oregon or Washington. I can, however, bill as an out-of-network provider if you have out-of-network nutrition benefits or provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please note that I am not able to bill Medicare for services.

What to expect
Initial Session: 75 minutes
Prior to our first counseling session you will have some paperwork to fill out to help me gain some understanding of how I can best support you. Our initial session will be the longest so we can really discuss details that paint a picture of who you are and your nutrition related goals. We will discuss health history, what your relationship with food looks like, any previous experiences dieting or restricted eating, current lifestyle factors such as stress level, work, family life, movement, and sleep. Lastly and most importantly we will set goals and establish a plan for success.
Follow Ups: 60 minutes
Follow up appointments occur every other week, which you are able to schedule yourself. In these appointments we will reflect on goals set in our previous session and your experiences working to achieve them. My style of nutrition coaching is restriction and pressure free, we will always discuss how to expand nutrition value, not minimize the foods you eat. I am available to answer questions and respond to journaling between appointments using the Healthie app.
